We are pleased to announce that Villarreal and ACF Fiorentina will provide the opposition for two pre-season friendlies at White Hart Lane.

VILLARREAL - TICKETS FOR THE TROOPS

Villarreal, who finished seventh in Spain's La Liga last season, visit the Lane on Thursday July 29 and included in their ranks are the likes of Spain internationals Joan Capdevila and Marcos Senna, as well as Giuseppe Rossi, formerly of Manchester United and Newcastle United. The fixture will kick-off at 8pm.

As part of the Club's continued support for the Tickets for Troops scheme, we will be providing up to 2,000 tickets to our Armed Forces and their families for this fixture. The Club is committed to supporting British troops and has regularly provided tickets to matches for those serving in the forces.

Tickets for Troops is an independent charity dedicated to offering free tickets for major cultural, sporting and musical events to all military personnel. For more details, visit www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk or CLICK HERE...

BENFICA AWAY

As already reported, inbetween our home friendly games, the squad will travel to Lisbon to compete in the 2010 Eusebio Cup against Benfica at Estádio da Luz on Tuesday August 3, kick-off 7.45pm.

IPSWICH TOWN

On the same evening, Tuesday, August 3, Tim Sherwood will take a Spurs XI side to Portman Road for a friendly against Ipswich Town.

With our players returning from World Cup duty at varying times, the team on the night could include First Team players at different stages of their pre-season preparations, along with players seeking to break into the senior group. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

FIORENTINA - FAMILY FUN AND U11s FREE

Fiorentina will be the guests for our final pre-season friendly of the summer and will take place at White Hart Lane on Saturday August 7 - kick-off 3pm. We will come up against the likes of Alberto Gilardino, Riccardo Montolivo, Per Kroldrup and Mario Bolatti, all included in their respective nations World Cup Finals squads this summer - as well as well-known names such as Sebastien Frey, Cristiano Zanetti and young prospect Stevan Jovetic who scored both goals against Liverpool in a 2-0 win during last season's UEFA Champions League Group Phase.

Fiorentina have competed in the Champions League the past two seasons after successfully coming through the Play-off on both occasions and most recently reached the Round of 16 before losing out on away goals to eventual finalists Bayern Munich.

The Club intends to make this fixture a fantastic occasion for all the family and the perfect opportunity to bring along younger Spurs fans to experience the excitement of live football at the Lane. Supporters under the age of 11 that sign up to our free One Hotspur Junior Kickers membership scheme will be given entry to this fixture free of charge.

It promises to be a great day out. Keep an eye on the website for even more details ahead of this match.
