ON THIS DAY – JANUARY 14
1995 – Jurgen Klinsmann and Teddy Sheringham bagged a goal each as we came from behind to beat West Ham 2-1 in the Premier League. The Hammers took the lead through Jeroen Boere in the 10th minute and led 1-0 at half-time, but we came alive after the break, Teddy levelled on 58th minutes and Jurgen secured victory 11 minutes from time.
The pair clicked immediately after Jurgen’s summer arrival from Monaco and went on to score 52 goals as a partnership in all competitions – Jurgen bagged 29, including 20 in the Premier League while Teddy weighed in with 23, 18 in the Premier League.
