With the Olympics in full swing, a group of young people from Haringey were invited to the Club’s Training Centre in Enfield to meet with first team Goalkeeping Coach and Olympic gold medallist Toni Jimenez on Wednesday.

The former Spanish international goalkeeper shared his inspirational story of being part of Spain’s squad in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, playing all six matches as they won the gold medal for men’s football.

The young people all have a keen interest in playing football and currently attend Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Kicks sessions at Northumberland Park in Haringey and Douglas Eyre Sports Centre in Walthamstow.

Following a Q&A session with Toni, the youngsters were given access to the facilities at Hotspur Way for a special training session with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coaches.
