We caught up with this year’s new arrivals to find out about their plans for the festive period and how they’ve celebrated in the past. We round off the series today with Moussa Sissoko…
MOUSSA SISSOKO
National team: France.
Previous clubs: Toulouse, Newcastle United.
What will you do on Christmas Day?
I will just be at home with my family. Every year my family comes over from Paris to stay with me and we will all enjoy the day together here in London.
How does this differ from past Christmases for you?
My family used to come to Newcastle so for me it will be the same, just in a different city!
What is traditional at Christmas in France?
It’s similar to England – the people like to be at home, buy presents for the children and have a meal all together. Some people exchange presents at midnight on December 24 and some do it on December 25.
What is your favourite festive meal?
I like foie gras so it would probably be that. I might also eat fish or chicken.
What do you wish for at Christmas?
I want the team to do well and go into 2017 with some positive momentum.
What was your most memorable gift as a child?
I remember getting a remote control car when I was about five or six years old. I was delighted with that!
If you missed them earlier in the week, be sure to catch up on ‘My First Spurs Christmas’ for recent recruits Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Vincent Janssen and Pau Lopez.
