A busy midweek period for our loanees continued on Wednesday night as Aaron Lennon marked his first start for Everton in their trip to Chelsea.
A substitute in the Merseyside derby at the weekend, Aaron was in the Toffees’ starting XI for the first time as they visited Stamford Bridge – the winger completing 74 minutes of the Premier League encounter before being withdrawn.
Chelsea secured a 1-0 win through Willian’s 89th-minute strike as Everton finished with 10 men.
Elsewhere in the top flight on Wednesday, Tom Carroll was an unused substitute for Swansea City in their 2-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

In the Championship, Alex Pritchard played 79 minutes for Brentford as they lost 2-1 at home to Watford while goalkeeper Jordan Archer was on the bench for Millwall in their 1-0 win at Birmingham City.
Shaq Coulthirst and Dominic Ball were unused substitutes for their respective clubs in League Two – Shaq’s Southend United winning 2-0 at home to Cheltenham Town and Dominic’s Cambridge United sharing the spoils after a 2-2 draw at Exeter City.
