Last week’s Junior Fan Forum held at Hotspur Way has received a fantastic response from the youngsters in attendance and their parents.
The annual event sees a group of lucky competition winners from our One Hotspur Junior membership visit the Training Centre to watch the first team train and take part in a Q&A session with a couple of players, in this case Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen.
Marie Hutton said: “It's all my son has talked about this week and he was quite emotional on the way home from pure disbelief at what had happened during the day. He has often commented that he'd like to meet his heroes, but always thought that football players were unreachable, almost not 'normal' people and that it would never happen. It did, and he can't believe it! I was just as excited by it all!”
Neil Gruncell added: “It really was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the kids to watch the players train, see the amazing facilities and then get to meet the players. I thought all the players were first class and a credit to themselves and the Club. They had time for all of the kids and Eric and Jan spent the best part of two hours answering every question from each child in the Q&A – a really nice gesture.”
