Mauricio with the latest news on Danny Rose's injury

Mauricio Pochettino reported that Danny Rose was forced off with a knee injury against Sunderland on Tuesday night.

The full-back was left struggling after a 50-50 challenge with Billy Jones in the 37th minute of the goalless draw at the Stadium of Light. He tried to continue after initial treatment but was substituted for Ben Davies a couple of minutes later.

Mauricio told us after the game: “We need to assess him tomorrow (Wednesday). We hope it’s not a big issue but he felt in a tackle that he twisted his knee. We’ll see tomorrow.”
