Mauricio Pochettino says the hard work of pre-season will continue in earnest as we set-off for our summer Tour of the USA and Canada.
We take on MLS teams Seattle Sounders (July 19), Toronto FC (July 23) and Chicago Fire (July 26).
As Mauricio points out, it’s all geared up to the big kick-off in the Premier League at West Ham on August 16.
“We’re looking forward to the Tour and travelling to America and Canada,” said Mauricio. “We need to continue to work hard and we’ll start to play matches.
“It’s important to go the Tour to improve (our fitness), to develop our style and start to compete in matches. Our objective is to arrive at the first game of the season in the best condition.
“We use pre-season and the matches to improve our physical and tactical condition. At this moment, we’re happy and we’re looking forward to developing our pre-season on Tour.”
Fans will be able to watch Mauricio and his coaching staff put the lads through their paces in open training sessions in all three cities – more details here...
