Major restructuring of Medical Team

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Today saw the start of the restructuring of the medical resources at Spurs Lodge.

Following a thorough review by Dr Charlotte Cowie, who joined as the new Head of Medical in February, several changes will be made to the existing set-up and staffing resources.

"Players in the current Premiership require unprecedented levels of fitness and medical support in order to be able to deliver top performances throughout the season. Today’s players need to be at fitness levels on par with the world’s athletic elite. At Tottenham we must be able to deliver medical care in line with best practice world-wide," said Dr Cowie.

"An overhaul of the medical department and its structure is long overdue and one of the prime reasons we appointed Charlotte earlier in the year. I have previously said that several areas of the Club would be addressed if they were failing to meet the very high standards we are setting ourselves," commented Daniel Levy, Chairman.

Several staff changes are expected in line with the restructuring and these will be released as and when is appropriate.
