Loan watch - joy for Championship lads

Wed 29 January 2014, 09:50|Tottenham Hotspur

On-loan Bongani Khumalo helped Doncaster Rovers keep a clean sheet in their victory over Charlton Athletic in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Our defender was solid as ever at the back, as Rovers claimed a 3-0 victory to move four points clear of the drop zone.

Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto also tasted victory on a busy night for our loanees, their Queens Park Rangers side claiming a 2-1 win at home to Bolton Wanderers.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Ryan Fredericks played 90 minutes for Millwall in their 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, while Jon Obika was an unused substitute for Brighton & Hove Albion in their goalless stalemate at Burnley.

In League One, Alex Pritchard played for just over an hour of Swindon Town’s 1-1 draw at Walsall before being substituted, while Jake Livermore went close for Hull City in the second half of their eventual 1-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace.
