Loan watch - First goal for Kenny

Kenny McEvoy bagged his first ever senior goal during Peterborough United’s 3-2 home win against MK Dons on Saturday.

Our on-loan winger fired the Posh into the lead on the stroke of half-time with a 25-yard strike that took a touch off a defender on its way into the net. He was replaced at the break, with the hosts going on to secure the points in League One.

Meanwhile, Alex Pritchard was back in action for Brentford in the Championship – going close with a second-half free-kick as his side slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth.

Alex played the full 90 minutes, as did defender Grant Hall for Birmingham City in their 1-0 home win against Brighton & Hove Albion in the same division.

In League Two, Shaq Coulthirst started for Southend United in their 2-0 home win over Stevenage. He was replaced nine minutes from time, while Jordan Archer was on the bench for Northampton Town in their 1-1 draw at York City.

In America, midfielder Grant Ward was called upon in the closing minutes of Chicago Fire’s 1-0 MLS defeat at Montreal Impact. Grant went on as a substitute on 86 minutes, less than two minutes after Fire had fallen behind, as his side tried in vain to salvage something from the contest.
