Tom Carroll returned to Swansea City’s starting line-up as Garry Monk’s men made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League on Saturday.

Our on-loan midfielder played 61 minutes as the Swans secured a 1-0 victory at Burnley – although he’ll be ineligible to play in Wednesday’s game at White Hart Lane because loan rules prevent him from playing against his parent club.

Aaron Lennon was also in top flight action over the weekend, going on as a 62nd-minute substitute for Everton in their 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.

Elsewhere, young attacking midfielder Emmanuel Sonupe tasted Scottish Premiership victory for the first time with St Mirren, stepping off the bench in the last few minutes to help his side see out a 1-0 win at home to Hamilton Academical on Saturday.

Two of our players were in action in the Championship over the weekend, midfielder Alex Pritchard completing 90 minutes for Brentford in their 1-0 defeat at Birmingham City and defender Grant Hall playing the full game for Blackpool as they lost 3-1 at home to Wigan Athletic.

In League One, winger Kenny McEvoy was on the bench for Colchester United in their 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers while defender Dominic Ball went on as a 75th-minute substitute for Cambridge United as they saw out a 2-0 victory at Morecambe in League Two.

Also in that division, Nathan Oduwa and Shaq Coulthirst were unused substitutes for Luton Town and Southend United in respective 2-0 home defeats to Accrington Stanley and Carlisle United.
