Lads determined - Mauricio

Mauricio Pochettino highlighted a determination in the players this week to put things right against Leicester City after our loss at United last week.

United outplayed us in the first half at Old Trafford and there was no way back after going 3-0 down by the break.

That was only our third defeat in 15 in the Premier League but the nature of the performance left Mauricio and the players somewhat shell-shocked and immediately focusing on the Foxes at the Lane tomorrow (Saturday, March 21, 3pm).

“We all agree that it was the first time we were very poor and our performance wasn’t very good,” said Mauricio.

“In a week like this, we don’t need to speak too much to the players because they know that we need to change that feeling and we need a great performance.

“This is an opportunity to show it was only one bad day at Old Trafford.

“There is a determination in the players, but you could see straight after the game how disappointed they were. The only way to fix that is to be back to our best on Saturday and try to get the three points.”
