Tottenham Hotspur Ladies face old rivals Arsenal on Thursday night as pre-season preparations step up a gear.

After a promising performance in defeat to the Trinidad & Tobago national team last weekend, the ladies returned to winning ways in their latest friendly against Swindon Town on Saturday.

Rosie Kmita led the way with two goals after eight and 86 minutes, either side of Andra Marcoci’s penalty.

“It was a very good performance and we dominated from start to finish,” said Spurs Ladies Manager, Karen Hills. “Another positive was a debut for Maya Vio, one of our Under-17 players from last season.”

The Gunners are next for the team at Queenswood School, Potters Bar on Thursday night.

“It’s another good test for us as the season draws ever closer,” added Karen.

“We have a strong squad of players and they have gelled well in pre-season.

“The girls are looking forward to competing against a strong side in Arsenal. We’re determined to put in another positive performance and build on what we’ve done so far in pre-season.”

The ladies will then travel to Millwall for another friendly on Sunday, August 18 with the 2013-14 season opener in the FA Women’s Premier League South at Chesham United on Sunday, September 1.

Spurs Ladies squad vs Swindon: Chloe Morgan, Derrie O’Halloran, Robyn Downie, Davina Smith, Kim Lane, Shannon Maloney, Amy Cooper, Rose Kmita, Mollie Kmita, Andra Marcoci, Bianca Baptiste, Fran Gamble, Jordan Arnout, Maya Vio, Jo Ayre.
