Wendy Martin hit four goals as Tottenham Hotspur Ladies racked up double-figures in their latest friendly against Hertford Town Ladies on Wednesday night.

The striker was soon into her stride as the ladies raced into a 7-0 lead at half-time and was joined on the scoresheet by Katie O'Leary (2), Lucia Adrianna Padilla (2), Bianca Baptiste and Leanne Mabey as it ended 10-0.

Manager Karen Hills was pleased with the performance but away from the scoreline, picked out two youngsters who impressed on their debuts.

"Tasha Smits and Annabelle Colsto both made their debuts, both 16 and both did really well," reported Karen.

"Tasha is a centre-half signed from MK Dons while Annabelle is a forward from Brighton. They didn't look fazed by making their debuts and that's the sort of strength in depth you need in a squad.

"It was a good performance, we started quickly and playes some good football. It was good to see us start a game like that, we showed real intent."

The ladies continue their pre-season preparations against MK Dons at Ware FC on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.

They begin the FA Women's Premier League South campaign at home against Gillingham on Sunday, August 24.
