Younes Kaboul knows we can't afford a repeat of our start against Southampton when we travel to Liverpool on Sunday.
The Saints took advantage of defensive slips to race into a 2-0 lead after 28 minutes at the Lane.
We hit back through Christian Eriksen on 31 minutes and didn’t look back. Christian levelled it and after 46 minutes after dominating the second half, Gylfi Sigurdsson completed the comeback in the 92nd minute.
“In the first half we let them have too much time on the ball and they were a threat,” said Younes.
“We have to make sure that we don’t start against Liverpool as we started against Southampton. If we do, it will be very difficult to come back again, especially at Anfield.
“We’re working hard and we’re going there to take something out of the game and hopefully win it.”
Reflecting on Sunday’s turn around against the Saints, Younes, captain on the day, described the second half display as ‘unbelievable’.
“It’s a great feeling and that’s what football’s about, it’s for the fans and for us on the pitch,” he said. “We were losing 2-0 and then we came back and you are thinking ‘football is crazy’. Thankfully, it turned our way.”
