Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

JURGEN KLINSMANN

Jurgen Klinsmann took only 18 months to become a legend at White Hart Lane. Few will forget the impact the German star made in 1994-95 when he scored 29 goals in that campaign as we overcame the mid-season departure of Ossie Ardiles to finish seventh in the Premiership and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup under Gerry Francis.
On a personal level, Klinsmann totally overturned the English public's perception of

him being a 'diver' and departed a hero after a season when he headed for Bayern Munich, with the coveted Football Writers' Player of the Year Award for good measure.

Chairman Sir Alan Sugar initially sold the club to Klinsmann, who recalled: "I had the choice of three clubs but met Alan Sugar in Monte Carlo and just liked the way he approached me.

"As a little boy I watched a lot of English football on television and loved the atmosphere, so I took a decision to try something new and ended up in London. I soon learned how much Spurs meant and was very proud to be part of it."

After a successful spell with Bayern Munich,. Klinsmann returned for his second spell from Sampdoria in December 1997. It was a different scenario this time, with us fighting relegation under the leadership of Christian Gross.

He said: "There was a lot of tension at the club but I felt with the players we had, if we all focussed, we would make it."

We did just that with Klinsmann firing home four goals in a key 6-2 win at Wimbledon in the season's penultimate game.

"That was a great moment after all the difficult weeks and months," he remembered. "There were problems but somehow we came through them."

Klinsmann signed off with a cracker against Southampton on the final day - it would be his last club game. He retired after representing Germany in the World Cup that summer.
