Janssen move secured

Tue 12 July 2016, 11:15|Tottenham Hotspur

We are delighted to announce the signing of Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar, subject to international clearance.

The striker has signed a contract with the Club until 2020.

A Holland international, the 22-year-old was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season with 27 goals.

Vincent made his senior debut with Almere City in the second tier of Dutch football, scoring 32 goals in 74 appearances during a two-year spell, before sealing a move to AZ last summer.

In his one season at AZ, his 27 goals in 34 league appearances helped them secure a top-four finish.

His performances also earned him the 2016 Johan Cruyff Trophy, awarded to the Eredivisie's young player of the year, which has previously been won by Rafael van der Vaart and Christian Eriksen.

Vincent made his Netherlands debut earlier this year and has five full caps to his name along with three goals, including one against England in a 2-1 win at Wembley in March.
