Nabil Bentaleb and Vlad Chiriches both enjoyed wins on the international stage on Saturday evening.

Nabil, making his second senior international appearance, went on as a 62nd minute substitute for Algeria as they beat Armenia 3-1 in a World Cup warm-up game.

Vlad, meanwhile, played 90 minutes for Romania in their 1-0 friendly victory against Albania.

On Friday evening, Gylfi Sigurdsson was on the bench for Iceland in their 1-1 friendly draw against Austria.

And at Wembley, our young midfielder Josh Onomah was presented to the crowd along with the rest of the UEFA European Championship-winning England Under-17s squad ahead of the senior England side’s 3-0 win against Peru.

Elsewhere, Belgium are back in action this evening (Sunday) as they continue their build-up to next month’s showpiece tournament in Brazil. They’ll be facing Sweden in a friendly at 7.30pm with Nacer Chadli, Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen all in their squad.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto could feature for Cameroon when they take on Germany at the same time, while it’s an 8pm kick-off for Hugo Lloris and France as they face Paraguay.
