Vlad Chiriches' Romania beat Christian Eriksen's Denmark 2-0 in Tuesday night's friendly in Bucharest.

Vlad started and played 70 minutes as Claudio Keseru scored twice in five minutes in the second half to secure victory. Christian, who played 90 minutes and claimed two assists in Denmark's Euro 2016 qualifying win against Serbia on Friday, remained on the bench this time.

Erik Lamela came on in the 61st minute as Argentina slipped to a 1-0 friendly defeat against Portugal at Old Trafford. Federico Fazio, who started the friendly win against Croatia last week, was an unused substitute this time.

Hugo Lloris also remained on the bench as France beat Sweden 1-0 in a friendly at Marseille. Steve Mandanda, who plays for Marseille, took over in goal. Hugo, captain of his national team, played 90 minutes in Friday's draw against Albania.

Wednesday action

Emmanuel Adebayor is the final Spurs player in international action during this break and it's make or break for Togo in African Cup of Nations qualifying.

Two points separate all four teams in qualifying Group F. Ghana lead with eight points, Uganda and Guinea each have seven, and Togo have six. The final round of matches takes place tonight with Ghana hosting Togo and Guinea hosting Uganda.
