Harry Kane knew it was time to step up and deliver after getting the nod to make his first start for us in the Premier League against Sunderland.
The young striker, 20, did just that with the key second goal as we turned an early 1-0 deficit into a 5-1 victory at the Lane.
It was the Academy graduate's 14th appearance in all competitions this term and his 21st overall since making his debut against Hearts back in August, 2011.
"I had a rough idea I was starting, we did a bit of team shape in training on Sunday," reflected the England Under-21 international.
"I was told I was starting a couple of hours before kick-off. I’ve waited for my chance, I’ve been training well and I knew I was ready.
"I think I showed that in the performance and I’m just pleased with the result, we were excellent. Hopefully I’ll get a few more goals between now and the end of the season."
