Benjamin Stambouli says he's proud to have joined Spurs.
The midfielder completed his switch from Ligue 1 side Montpellier on Monday.
“I’m very happy to be here,” said ‘Benji’. “I’m discovering the Training Centre, it’s amazing. I know the size of the club and I’m happy and proud to join.
“It’s a dream to play in the Premier League and with Tottenham, it adds another dimension. I know that and I know the chance I have, so I will take it and I will give everything for the club, the team, the players and the whole club.”
Benji made his senior debut for Montpellier in 2010 and went on to make 129 appearances in all competitions, winning the French title in 2012.
“It’s a big decision but we only have one life and I had to discover another culture and another football,” he told us.
“The whole world looks at the Premier League and a club such as Tottenham, it’s amazing to be here and I’m determined to show people I can play.”
Away from football, Benji also has a new chapter in his life as he moves from France to England - one he embraces.
“It’s what I searched for when I left Montpellier, a new culture, another spirit,” he explained. “I’ve only been here for one hour and I’m feeling like I’m in my family because everyone is smiling. I’m happy to be here and I think it’s a good decision, a good choice.”
