Mauricio Pochettino and the players were determined to finish the season in style after such a grand finale at White Hart Lane last weekend - how they’ve delivered.
We waved goodbye to our famous old stadium with a 2-1 victory against Manchester United and waved goodbye to the 2016-17 Premier League campaign with a 6-1 win at Leicester on Thursday night and 7-1 win at Hull on Sunday. Two games, 13 goals, our record away win of all-time - and a second-successive Golden Boot for the league’s top goalscorer Harry Kane.
Harry’s quickfire double in the first half put us in control at the KCOM Stadium and also put Harry in control of the Golden Boot. He completed his fifth hat-trick of the season in the second half to become only the third Spur ever to score five trebles in a single season and only the second player to score more than three Premier League hat-tricks in a season behind Alan Shearer, who hit five in 1995-96.
Dele Alli added the third, Victor Wanyama nodded home the fourth, Ben Davies hit a rocket for the sixth (his first Premier League goal for us) and Toby Alderweireld completed the rout.

Our first second place since 1962-63 was already secured and with it, a Club best in every Premier League category - most wins (26), fewest defeats (4), most goals (86), fewest conceded (26), best goal difference (plus-60) and most points (86).
The only disappointment was to concede a goal in the second half which meant Hugo Lloris missed out on the Premier League’s Golden Glove for clean sheets.
“I’m so proud, the way we finished the season was fantastic,” said Mauricio. “I’m very happy for Harry, disappointed for Hugo but I think to be second in the table, fighting all the way on 86 points, it was amazing.
“It’s not only the results but the football we played was very good and now it’s a big challenge for next season. Our dream and our challenge is to be better this season. Now is a moment to take to decisions, to try to improve and try to provide the team with all the tools to try to win, that’s the challenge for us.”
Couldn't wish for a better group of lads to have played the season with! Thanks to the fans! Let's make next season even better ⚽️ #COYSpic.twitter.com/H7oHsalxlC

Harry Kane has won the Golden Boot for the second-successive season - what more can you say about him?
Mauricio: “It’s amazing, unbelievable, fantastic and a big achievement for him. We are all very happy. He deserves it. He’s a great player and it’s a very good thing for him. He’s one of the best strikers in the world and I’m very happy for him.”
You went over to our fans again at the end of the game, any final message for them?
Mauricio: “I want to say thank you because they’ve been fantastic all season, away and at White Hart Lane. I’m very proud of our fans and I’d like to say a big thanks and to say as well that we will work very hard to improve the team and try to challenge again next season.”
