Tim Sherwood insisted Hugo Lloris' early save from Leon Osman was as valuable as Emmanuel Adebayor’s winner against Everton.
Our French number one threw himself to his left to divert Osman’s piledriver as the Toffees carved out a number of chances in the opening exchanges.
Osman was central to Everton's pressure but the visitors couldn’t find a way past Hugo and a defensive unit that has now kept 10 clean sheets in 25 matches in the Premier League so far this term.
An improved performance in the second half saw us claim maximum points thanks to a fine finish from Ade on 65 minutes.
“It was a slow start again and Hugo kept us in the game,” said Tim. “His save was vital - goalkeepers are vital, goalscorers are vital.
“As much as Ade will get all the plaudits – rightly so, he scored the winning goal – a save like that is just as good as a goal. He’s a world-class goalkeeper.”
