Hugo loving that big game feeling

Hugo Lloris is not fazed by the prospect of keeping goal against league leaders Chelsea.

Our hosts this evening have not lost in their opening 13 Premier League games, winning 10 and drawing three of their domestic outings to date.

But ahead of our latest London derby at Stamford Bridge, goalkeeper Hugo is relishing the challenge of taking on Jose Mourinho’s men – especially coming off the back of such a good team performance against Everton at the weekend.

“It’s always a pleasure to play in a big game like this,” declared the 27-year-old, who has captained the side to victory in our last three outings in all competitions.

“It’s a big challenge because Chelsea are still unbeaten in the league and the game is coming so quickly after the last one, but we need to concentrate and put on a good performance all together like we did on Sunday.

“I think if we stay compact defensively we will give ourselves a good chance. We’ve conceded a lot of goals that we could have avoided this season but defensively on Sunday we were stronger than in the last few games, we didn’t lose the ball easily. We need to keep going.”
