Harry Kane is determined not to waste a fine qualifying campaign for England Under-21s by losing out in the play-offs for a place in the Euro Under-21 finals.
The striker helped the Young Lions steam ahead in qualifying Group One with nine wins and a draw in 10 matches, scoring 31 goals and conceding only two.
That has set-up a tough play-off against Croatia for a place in the finals in Czech Republic next summer.
The first leg is at Wolves’ Molineux on Friday with the return in Vinkovci on Tuesday.
“We played well in the group, finished top and now we have two tough games against Croatia,” said Harry, who has five goals in seven Under-21s caps.
“Everyone knows they are a top side so we know it will be difficult but we want to win and get through to the finals.
“We don’t want to go through the group stage, finish top and then have nothing to show for it. We want to qualify and get to the finals.”
