Good news on Milenko

Glenn confirms that the hamstring injury sustained by Milenko Acimovic at Crystal Palace on Wednesday is not a tear and the playmaker could be in contention to play against Celtic.

Milenko came off just before the break at Selhurst Park with what Glenn described afterwards as a 'contraction' of the hamstring. He added that getting him off early hopefully prevented anything more serious.

Thankfully this is the case and the attacking midfielder, who has made quite an impression during pre-season, should be ready for our showcase games against Celtic and Lazio.

"Milenko's hamstring is not torn, it is what they call a grade one strain," reports Glenn. "He should be okay - he says - by Wednesday - if not, definitely by the weekend.

"After the news on Gus, this is good news and a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel."
