Spurs Ladies are back with a bang in the FA Women's Premier League.
After a run of tricky matches and up and down results, back-to-back victories have seen them climb back on the coat tails of the leaders in the FAWPL Southern Division.
Top-scorer Wendy Martin grabbed another two goals as the ladies beat Keynsham 5-1 in Somerset on Sunday to move up to fifth in the table.
Bianca Baptiste opened the scoring with a cracker from 30 yards, Avilla Bergin made it 2-0 and Wendy's first from Maya Vio's assist saw the team 3-0 up at the break.
The arrival of Lucia Leon and Andra Marcoci off the bench on the hour added extra imputus to the performance in the second half.
Lucia was soon on the scoresheet with a header from Jenna Schillaci's cross for 4-0 before Bianca delivered for Wendy's acrobatic finish for the fifth.
Bene Pembani made her FAWPL debut off the bench and Keynsham grabbed a late consolation.
Juan Amoros, Head Coach, added: "We knew Keynshaw weren't in the best form but you cannot rely on that, you always need to go into matches at 100 per cent and we controlled the game from start to finish.
"There were some good spells but I have the feeling that we could have done even better.
"We have some tough games before Christmas but we're now focused on the next game."
Manager Karen Hills added: "It was a great result and the team has bounced back well from a tough spell of games.
"Confidence is up again and we're sitting nicely just behind the leaders. It's a positive time for us."
The ladies are set to return to action at Enfield in the Ryman Cup on Thursday week, November 20.
