First England call-up for Dele

Dele Alli has earned his first senior England call-up, joining Harry Kane in the squad for this month’s Euro 2016 qualifiers.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who only stepped up to play for England Under-21s for the first time last month, has made eight appearances for us in all competitions so far this season, scoring his first Premier League goal in our 1-1 draw at Leicester on August 22.

Harry, meanwhile, has a return of three goals in four senior appearances for England to date – the striker hitting the target in both last month’s matches against San Marino and Switzerland.

Roy Hodgson’s men face Estonia at Wembley on October 9 before visiting Lithuania three days later.

Elsewhere, Eric Dier is in the England Under-21s squad for their European qualifier with Kazakhstan in Coventry on October 13, while attacking midfielder Nathan Oduwa has been named in the England Under-20s squad alongside Harry Winks for the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup in Germany next week.

Nathan, currently on loan at Rangers, last played for the Young Lions at Under-18 level back in April, 2014. England will face the Netherlands, Turkey and Germany at the tournament.

Fellow midfielder Josh Onomah is set to link up with England Under-19s once again, as they prepare for a trio of European qualifiers against Macedonia, Finland and Italy over the next fortnight.

Meanwhile, youngsters Samuel Shashoua (2) and Jaden Brown were among the scorers on Tuesday (September 29) as England Under-17s thrashed San Marino 8-0 in a European Championship first round qualifier in Portugal. The pair remain with the Young Lions for further fixtures against Armenia (today, Thursday, October 1) and Portugal (Sunday, October 4).
