Federico Fazio will experience an FA Cup match for the first time this evening and he has one clear goal in mind.
The experienced centre-half, who won the Copa del Rey with former club Sevilla in 2012, is determined to see us continue the form which has seen us win five and draw one of our last six games when we meet Burnley at Turf Moor in the third round of one of the world’s most famous cup competitions.
And after playing his part in last week’s 5-3 win over Premier League leaders Chelsea, the 27-year-old says similar levels of performance to those on show at the Lane in recent matches should stand us in good stead to book our place in the next round.
“It’s another competition but we need to continue our intensity and aggression on the pitch,” Federico said.
“It will be a similar game to when we played Burnley two weeks ago in the league.
“They played some good football and showed fight, but we need to win this type of game.
“All teams we come up against are different but we need to play the same as we did against Chelsea on the pitch and if we do that we can compete against any team.”
