Man of the moment. Man of the Match. Dele Alli was predictably our supporters’ choice for our best performer in Wednesday night’s fantastic home victory over Chelsea.
The 20-year-old midfielder netted with identical headers from two Christian Eriksen crosses either side of half-time as we defeated the Premier League leaders 2-0 to elevate ourselves into third spot and reduce the gap between us and the Blues to seven points.
In-form Dele has now scored seven goals in our last four games and also equalled his own Premier League goals tally – 10 – for the whole of last season.
In total, he took 61 per cent of fans’ votes for Man of the Match across our official Twitter and Facebook platforms.
Victor Wanyama, outstanding in central midfield, was runner-up with 22 per cent.
Here’s what Dele had to say to Spurs TV after the game…
MAN OF THE MATCH – CHELSEA
Dele Alli – 61%
Victor Wanyama – 22%
Christian Eriksen – 12%
Mousa Dembele – 5%
As always, thanks to everyone who voted!
