Daws - Brazil outings will boost our lads

Michael Dawson reckons our players at the World Cup will return enriched by their experiences.

Hugo Lloris, Paulinho, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Nacer Chadli, Nabil Bentaleb and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have all seen game time for their respective nations at the showpiece event in Brazil.

And with several of those players looking well placed to qualify for the knockout phase of the tournament after enjoying wins in their groups, Club captain Daws believes their experiences will only boost our prospects for the 2014-15 campaign.

“We’ve lads at the World Cup and that can breed confidence,” said Michael.

“Let’s hope they do well. We’ll come back, work hard and let’s see if we can achieve our goals.”
