Peter Crouch celebrated his first league goal of the season with a call into the latest England squad to face France in next week's friendly.

'Crouchy' is our only representative in Fabio Capello's 23 with the likes of Michael Dawson, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone all injured.

The big man, in fine goalscoring form in our Champions League campaign, opened his account in the Barclays Premier League with the third goal in Saturday's 4-2 win against Blackburn.

However, he's more than played his part throughout - setting up no less than five goals for Rafael van der Vaart with his headed knockdowns.

Crouchy will be looking to build on his fantastic record of 21 goals in 41 caps so far against France at Wembley on Wednesday night.

England squad in full: Ben Foster, Robert Green, Joe Hart; Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Kieran Gibbs, Phil Jagielka, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Chris Smalling, John Terry; Gareth Barry, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Adam Johnson, James Milner, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Ashley Young; Gabriel Agbonlahor, Jay Bothroyd, Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch.

We'll have a full rundown of where our players are on international duty next week...
