Christian relishes Open Training showcase

Christian Eriksen was thrilled to see such a good turn-out for Open Training this week.

Our Danish international playmaker took to the White Hart Lane pitch with the rest of the squad on Monday, as fans were given a unique behind-the-scenes look at the hard work that is put in day after day by our players in preparation for games.

After the session, which saw thousands of supporters flock to the Lane in glorious sunshine, Christian spoke about how the chance to see the squad in training can help our fans feel even closer to the action.

“It’s great to see how much the fans enjoyed watching us train,” said the 22-year-old. “It’s a good thing that we’re able to hold events like this.

“I believe it’s very important for our supporters to be able to see the hard work that goes on among the players away from a normal matchday.

“Probably they don’t know us too well as people but now they’ve seen us training maybe they will feel they know us a bit better. That’s definitely a good thing.”
