Nacer Chadli insists we have to maintain the 'passion and fight' that saw us home against Southampton for the rest of the campaign.
The Belgian international, enjoying an extended run in the team, admitted the opening stages were ‘a nightmare’ as the Saints raced into a 2-0 lead at the Lane.
Christian Eriksen dragged us back into the game at 2-1 on 31 minutes and we dominated from there. Christian added a second for 2-2 just 40 seconds into into the second half but we had to wait until the final seconds for Gylfi Sigurdsson’s memorable winner.
“The first 25 minutes was a nightmare for us,” reflected Nacer. “We weren’t sharp enough, we weren’t together as a team like we have to be and that resulted in us going 2-0 down.
“At half-time we knew it wasn’t good, we had to be much better and we started well in the second half, great work from Roberto for the second goal, Chris’s finish and we knew at 2-2 we could do it.
“We had more control of the game after that, more chances and finally scored in the last minute.
“If there is only two seconds left to play you still have to believe because one second is enough to score a goal.
“We showed great performance and character. We have to keep going and continue to play like that, with passion, to fight for each other and we’ll be okay.”
