Tom Carroll has been thrilled to see his best mate Harry Kane hit the goal trail in the Premier League.
Currently on loan at QPR and preparing for the play-offs in the Championship, Tom revealed that he watched Harry's first Premier League start and first goal for us in a hotel room as he prepared for QPR's match at Blackburn on April 8.
There is only a year between the pair and they have progressed through the ranks together at the Lane - both making their first team debuts against Hearts in the Europa League in August, 2011.
Tom featured twice for us early this campaign - taking his tally to 37 appearances in all competitions - before his loan switch to QPR.
And he was delighted to see Harry bag three goals in his first three Premier League starts against Sunderland, West Brom and Fulham.
"He’s one of my best mates at the club and to see him do well is fantastic and he deserves it," said Tom, who will turn 22 at the end of this month.
"It's been coming. He’s scored goals at every level and I was always confident he could do it for the first team.
"He's had a few games for the first team without really having a run, but that has set him on his way. He deserved his chance and I knew he would take it.
"A few of the lads who performed consistently for the Under-21s in the last couple of years have all had a chance and all done well."
