Mauricio Pochettino was delighted with the way the players went about their business at Burnley.
Quick out of the traps at one of the toughest venues in the Premier League, Harry Kane fired us into the lead on six minutes and we didn’t look back in a dominant performance at Turf Moor.
After a host of chances (the shot count was 10-0 in our favour at half-time) we finally forged into a 2-0 lead on 69 minutes and Harry completed his hat-trick 10 minutes later.
That took the striker to 36 goals in the Premier League in 2017, matching Alan Shearer’s mark for a calendar year in the PL era from 1995 - with one match to go to topple it, Southampton at Wembley on Boxing Day.
The convincing win made it three in four as we climbed back into fifth place in the Premier League.
“It was a fantastic performance,” said Mauricio. “I'm so pleased and congratulate the players. I'm so happy because the three points were so important for us.
“We dominated, created chances it’s true, you need to kill the game when you create and play so well and dominate, but I wasn’t nervous, wasn’t worried.

“In this type of game against Burnley, we know how they play, the ball can arrive in the box and they can score and that’s why we need to kill the game. The moment we scored the second everything changed.
“But from the beginning, the team was hungry to fight and battle for the victory and that's what pleased me most.”
