Harry Redknapp paid tribute to the trio of substitutions that played such a big part in Saturday's 3-1 win against Wolves.

Alan Hutton, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Aaron Lennon all came off the bench to great effect in the Premier League victory at the Lane.

We were trailing 1-0 - very much against the run of play - when full-back Hutton made his first key contribution.

On for the injured Younes Kaboul just before the break, the Scottish international burst into the penalty area where he was upended by Stephen Ward.

Rafael van der Vaart made no mistake from the spot and it was game on at 1-1 with 15 minutes remaining.

Lennon then played his part in the crucial second goal in the 87th minute.

He got away from Ward down the right and managed to cross from the byline for Gareth Bale. Bale nodded down to Tom Huddlestone, whose shot was deflected into the path of Pavlyuchenko, and the Russian made no mistakle from close range.

Hutton had the final word when another charge forward, this time from inside his own half in injury time, ended with him blocking Richard Stearman's attempted clearance and the ball looping into the net.

"All the substitutes came on and did well and that's what it's all about," said Harry.

"I thought Younes was excellent in the first half but he got an injury, Alan came on and had a fantastic second half.

"He made the penalty, scored the third goal and really turned in a top-class display.

"Pav hadn't really touched the ball and suddenly the ball pops up to him in the box and he stuck it away.

"I'd just turned to Kevin Bond and said ‘Pav's hardly touched the ball, has he?' and then the ball dropped to him and he scored! Kev turned back to me and said ‘what did you say?'.

"That's Pav. It was great to see him on the spot to score the goal.

"Aaron came on at the end for us and played a big part in the second goal. I gave him a rest because he's played every game. He did fantastic for us.

"It's important to have a good squad and they all played their part."
