Ben Davies said he jumped at the chance to sign for Spurs.
The full-back joined us with goalkeeper Michael Vorm on Wednesday and made his debut in the first half of our 3-2 win against Toronto FC at BMO Field.
What are your thoughts on joining Spurs?
Ben: "I’m very happy to be joining a club like Spurs. It was such a good opportunity for me and there was no doubt in my mind about it. It’s a great place to be and something I jumped at the chance of being part of."
What are your ambitions?
Ben: "I just want to play as many games as I can this season. My aim is to come in and do my best and work hard under the new gaffer."
You've played against us in recent seasons - what have have been your thoughts on the team?
Ben: "I’ve had some difficult games especially against Kyle Walker and Aaron Lennon down my side! Spurs have always been a tough team to come up against."
How it's been in US?
"The squad has been great to me, very welcoming and when you join a new squad, that makes it all the easier, when you are with such a good bunch of lads. The quality has been excellent and I’m really looking forward to the new season."
New players normally have a initiation ceremony where they sing in front of the squad. Did you?
Ben: "Yes, I did my singing on my first night I arrived, Valerie, by Amy Winehouse. I thought I did alright!"
