Andros back in the frame

Wed 05 February 2014, 18:50|Tottenham Hotspur

Tim Sherwood reports that Andros Townsend is back in contention for Sunday's huge Premier League encounter against Everton at White Hart Lane.

The flying winger has been grounded since suffering a hamstring injury against West Ham on December 15.

Outstanding in the early part of the season and a star of England’s final World Cup qualifying matches against Montenegro and Poland, Andros has been sidelined for our last nine matches but he’s back in full training this week and raring to go.

“We’re positive on Andros and he has a chance (for Everton), he’s up for selection,” said Tim after training on Wednesday. “He’s champing at the bit to return.”

Tim also said Mousa Dembele would be available after missing Hull with an ankle injury. “He’s fine. He’s back out training again and he’s in the frame to start against Everton.”

The Toffees moved a point ahead of us into fifth place in the Premier League after beating Villa on Saturday. We meet at the Lane at 1.30pm on Sunday.
