Peter Crouch insists the players all believe they can end Manchester United’s unbeaten run in Sunday’s huge encounter at the Lane.

United top the table, are title-favourites and have yet to be beaten in 20 matches in the Premier League this season.

But we go into the match in fourth place, on a fine run of one defeat in 15 in all competitions and just one loss at home in the Premier League so far this term.

“It’s a massive game and if we have any aspirations of finishing high up the league then we have to make sure we get results against teams like Manchester United,” said ‘Crouchy’.

“They are obviously favourites for the title at the moment but on our day, we can beat anyone and we have to be full of confidence.

“We’ve come off the back of a good Christmas period and hopefully we can continue that.

“We’ve beaten all the top teams here and United is another game we all believe we can win. We go into it in a positive frame of mind and I’m sure we’ll get the right outcome.”

If selected, Crouchy will come up against United’s renowned central defensive partnership of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

“I’ve played against them a few times and it’s probably one of the toughest games of the season, both top-class defenders, but we have quality all over the pitch as well,” he added.

“We’ll concentrate on our game and make sure we play to the best of our ability. If we do that, I’ve no doubt we’ll get a positive result.”
