Emmanuel Adebayor has targeted a quick return to winning ways when we face Sunderland next weekend.
Three goals inside an hour condemned us to a 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, ending a run of four straight wins in all competitions at the start of the new season.
With no domestic action this weekend owing to the international break we’ll have to wait until next Saturday before taking to the field again, with a tricky trip to the Stadium of Light scheduled in.
Striker Ade insists the players will study the Reds defeat closely to prevent a similar occurrence from happening again – and has stressed his desire for us to pick up maximum points in the North East.
“It’s very important to bounce back,” said the front man. “We are all disappointed but the season still has a long way to go.
“We have to improve as a team. The best thing to do is to watch the video (of the Liverpool game) and see where the mistakes are coming from.
“We have to find a way to correct those mistakes and move forward.”
