Micky van de Ven's outstanding first season at Spurs has been recognised by our worldwide supporter base.
The defender was named Player of the Season by our Official Supporters' Clubs (OSC) at the annual OSC awards night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday evening - with votes taken from our 540 OSCs across the globe.
Micky, 23, joined us from Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg last summer. He made his Premier League debut on the season's opening day at Brentford and starred in our Club record-breaking unbeaten start of 10 games, winning eight, until suffering a serious hamstring injury against Chelsea on 6 November.
He returned in January and has started 28 of our 38 matches so far in 2023/24, including 24 starts in the Premier League. He's also weighed in with big goals against Luton and Forest.
Micky's pace has certainly caught the eye - he clocked a mind-blowing top speed of 37.38 km/h (23.22mph) in our 3-2 win over Brentford on 31 January - the highest speed by a player on record in England's top flight since records began in 2020.
Over 40 Supporters' Clubs from 21 countries were represented at the OSC awards night.
