NFL star Barkley hits Son's iconic celebration

It was a case of game recognising game in the NFL as New York Giants star Saquon Barkley celebrated a touchdown using Heung-Min Son's 'camera' celebration.

Barkley rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns to help Giants to a tense 24-22 victory over rivals Green Bay Packers on Monday night (11 December), coincidentally the same matchup and almost the same result we saw when the New York side came out with a 27-22 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022.

On that occasion, the running back instantly endeared himself with Spurs fans as he arrived in style donning last season's third strip with 'Barkley 26' printed on the back - a squad number immortalised in our history through Ledley King - and wearing Spurs-themed cleats.

This time out, the 26-year-old once again showed his affection for the Club with a tribute to our captain and his now iconic celebration - used to symbolise taking a picture to capture a good memory after he scores - as the New York outfit came from 10-7 behind at the break to clinch a memorable two-point victory in their MetLife Stadium home.

Giants needed a lot of heroes to claim their third successive victory which propelled them to the brink of the NFC playoffs with a 5-8 record, and it seems Barkley has a hero in Sonny.
